They Are Every Where!!! The 13 year cicadas are back in full force!!
They come up out of the ground every 13 years to mate lay their eggs and then die,the eggs hatch fall to the ground where they burrow into the ground and feed off the roots of the tree then they come back again in 13 years and repeat the process!!Very interesting critters but they make SO much noise they even drown out the sound of my lawnmower!! They apparently are a good source of protein and my dogs think they are snacks

I remembered last year in the summer they were coming out everywhere in Mississippi. It was actually beautiful to hear them again.
